Local man Phil Wylie, won the 2015 Exeter 10k last night, it was a competitive race and at half way an elite group of 4 had formed with the paced being pushed along by Plymouth based Johnny Gilby. Just after half way Wylie applied the pressure and pulled away to finish in a time of 31.39, an impressive time considering the windy conditions. The battle for 2nd place was won by early leader Johnny Gilby, Derby Ac 32.13 with Somerset junior international Oliver Fox, Wells City Harriers in third place, 32.16. Fourth place was Ethiopian athlete Berihu Hadera 32.40, Exmouth Harriers. An impressive 24 hours for Hadera, as he an run a fast 800m at a local British Miler's Club meet less than 24 hours earlier.

The ladies race was equally competitive with Cornwall based Jasmine Finney, Bristol and West Ac on a come back from injury winning in a time of 38.00 but was pushed hard all the way by Alison Mcewing, 38.27, of Erme Valley Harriers.
