• Devon 10,000, Westcountry Mile & Try The Track Mile

Calling Westcountry athletes and supporters, we need you…

We are aiming to build on the success of the 2018 event and make 2019 even better! Among other things we are hoping to provide pace makers (at various speeds not just the elites), motivating music and split times every 200m. Please help us by supporting this event, eitheir come and do battle, provide pace making or simply come down to the track and support runners (this really does help!).

Devon County AA 10,000m Championships

  • 2 Graded Races, please note you MUST be a England athletics competitions license holder- non Devon county entries welcome. Run under UKA rules.

  • Cash Prizes on offer…in the bid to make it a level playing field will award cash prizes based on highest age graded % score for male or female runners.

    • 1st - Age Graded: £100.

    • 2nd- Age Graded: £75

    • 3rd - Age Graded: £50

  • Please note - performances will be taken into account in selection for county team for road championships later in year.

Westcountry Mile

  • Graded races over the classic mile distance, please note you MUST be a England athletics competitions license holder. Run under UKA rules.

Try The Track Mile

  • Mile race(s) for both club and unatatched runners who would like to have a go at running a mie on the track! Please note this will not be run under UKA rules to allow unattached runners to take part. Therefore will not be eligible for Power 10 rankings.


Race Instructions:

  1. Race HQ: Exeter Harriers Pavillion - Exeter Arena, Athletics Track

  2. Race Car Park: At track

  3. Start Time: See above provisonal timetable

  4. Entry Fee Per Race: Mile £5.00 Under 17 // £8.50 Over 17 | 10,000m: £14.00

  5. Showers/Changing: Under Grandstand at track

  6. Timing & Results: Electronic and photo finish system will be used. Full results will be produced and eligible for Power 10 rankings.

  7. Prizes: Mile -TBC // 10,000m - Devon County AA will award medals for top 3 in each age group.

  8. First Aid: This will be provided by MET Services.
