The Start Fitness Exeter 10K returns with a brand-new flat road course designed for fast times. With the previous unmade section removed, the route is now smoother and faster than ever — giving runners of all abilities the perfect opportunity to take a shot at a personal best.

New for this year, the event moves to the weekend and takes place over two evenings, creating even more opportunities for runners to chase their PB.

Friday Night – The Fast One
Designed for runners targeting faster times and competitive racing. Expect a strong field, fast pacing groups and the perfect opportunity to chase a big PB.

Saturday Night – PBs for Everyone
The same flat, fast course but with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. Perfect for runners of all abilities looking to jump on a pacer train and chase their best ever 10K time.

Whether you're chasing sub-40, sub-50, sub-60 or simply your fastest ever 10K, our experienced PB pacer trains will help guide you to your target time.

Supporting Devon Air Ambulance

Devon Air Ambulance provides exemplary and time-critical care to patients across Devon and beyond. We operate 2 Air Ambulance Helicopters along with 4 Critical Care Cars, which are crewed by Critical Care Doctors and Paramedics. We operate for 19 hours per day, 365 days a year: attending, on average, 6 incidents a day! We are 100% funded by the people of Devon, so by raising money for us you are helping to safeguard our service – thank you.

    • Race Packs: Numbers will be available to pick up on the day from Race HQ

    • Race Car Park: We are unable to offer a dedicated event car park. However there are Council Pay & Display Car Parks close by: Haven Banks Car Park, Michael Browning Way, Exeter, EX2 8DP Cathedral and Quay Car Park, Lower Coombe Street, Exeter, EX1 1DX See council website for further details - http://www.exeter.gov.uk

    • Start Time: Friday 7.30pm & Saturday 6.00pm

    • Race Limit: tbc

    • Entry Fee: Standard Entry £25.00 England Athletics Competitions License Holder £23.00

    • Minimum Age: 15 years old

    • Baggage: Runners can leave baggage in the Race HQ. This is entirely at your own risk.

    • Showers/Changing: Limited showers will be available at Race Hq

    • Toilets: Toilets will be available

    • Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the First 3 Male & Female runners overall. Winners of each Age Category will be emailed/posted their prize after the event. Only one prize per competitor.

    • Course Measurement: The official course measurement 10,000m - cert #tbc

    • First Aid: This will be provided by Dartmoor Ambulance

  • From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - everything from barriers to toilets, from printing to safety pins, from race numbers to marketing. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Therefore we are unable to offer refunds or defer entries over to the following year.

  • We are working at ways to make our event more sustainable, here are some of the things we are implementing…

    • Race pack pick up on the day.

    • Water station using compostable cups (that we will compost ourselves).

    • We encourages participants to recycle their race bib numbers

    • Using medals that we can recycle if left over.
